Our Process

STEP 1 – Contact Promise Landscape

This initial contact gets the ball rolling.  You can contact us by email or phone 540.454.7826. Our office manager, Mary, will collect a bit of basic information from you to make sure that our company is a match for you.  She will also get contact and site location information from you.

STEP 2 – Initial Conversation with Our Designer

Our landscape designer, Andrea, will contact you to gather a bit more information about your project.  She will set time to meet you at your site and discuss the project with you in more detail.

STEP 3 – Onsite Meeting with Your Designer

Your designer, Andrea, will meet you at your home.  There is no fee for this initial visit.  This meeting allows her to understand you and your wants and needs for your outdoor space better.  She will walk around the site with you and discuss your landscape vision. 

At this meeting she will also assess how much time it will take to draw a design for your project and determine fees for your design.

It will be helpful if you have a copy of your property plot in hand for this meeting.  Also, if you have photos of things you like, this will help convey your design style.

STEP 4 – Receive a Design Agreement via Email

Your designer will email a design agreement that details what the fees will be for your design plans.  If you want to proceed with the design process a signed design agreement and 50% deposit is required.

STEP 5 – Initial Landscape Design Concepts

Once Promise Landscape receives a signed design agreement, the design process begins.  Your designer will make another visit to your site to gather site measurements, elevations, and photos. You do not need to be home for this part of your project.  Once all the site data is collected, Andrea will prepare a design for you.

STEP 6 – Presentation and Discussion About Plan

Next, Andrea will meet you with a plan for your project. The plan will include your project dreams and shared vision for your landscape project.  You will become familiar with materials that are suggested for your project.  They will vary from types of plants, stone, lights to water features.   This is the time for you to give feedback on your plan.  You will discuss any changes you want to make. 

At this meeting we will also discuss the budget for your project as well as possible phased installed (if that is something you desire)

STEP 7 – Final Plan and Contract for Plan

After you and your designer have agreed on any changes to your plan a contract is generated that shows you what your landscape project will cost to install.  When this is agreed upon, the construction of your dream will be scheduled to begin.

STEP 8 – Expert Landscape Construction

It’s time to start the transformation of your yard.  Craig, our production manager, will lead our installation crew.  He will communicate daily with your designer and you about your project.  You can communicate directly with him or with your designer if any questions arise.

STEP 9 – Final Walkthrough

Upon completion of your transformation, Andrea or Craig will do a final walk-through to answer any questions you have and make sure that you are pleased with the final product.  At this time, they will also answer any questions you may have about the care and maintenance of your new landscape.

STEP 10 – Enjoy!
