We – Andrea Schmidt, ASLA; Craig Foote, CLT; and Mary Joyce – have worked as a team creating residential outdoor spaces for over twenty-five  years. After working together in a prominent northern VA Landscape company for many years, we decided to create our own vision and start a new full service design/build landscape company, Promise Landscape.

We each bring a unique perspective to the company that is held together by our common goals of creating inspiring exclusive outdoor spaces and trusting relationships with our clients.

Andrea Schmidt, ASLA, Landscape Designer, earned her bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech. Her background in design as well as her experience in construction enables her to develop creative and functional spaces.

Andrea’s designs are installed and perfected by Craig Foote, CLT, Production Manager. Craig obtained his education at Michigan State University in Landscape and Nursery. He has refined his skills and craftsmanship as well as gained much practical knowledge working in the landscape construction industry for over two decades.

Mary Joyce, Office Manager, oversees the daily office operations as well as project coordination . Mary studied Landscape Architecture at Virginia Tech and has worked in customer relations and in the landscape construction industry since 1990. Her combined knowledge of the landscape design/construction and people skills gives her a unique qualification for communicating with clients and staff.

We work closely together with our clients to achieve positive results. Our “hands on” involvement in the projects ensures that creativity, functionality and our clients desires are brought together smoothly to create a one of a kind experience.
